I’m Miles Carter, and if there is one thing I learned over the years working in car shipping industry and logistics, is that every car we transport is more than just a metal on wheels. It’s someone’s hobby, pride, joy, life and a part of their story.
I grown up in Murfreesboro, Tennessee and always had a passion for logistics and car logistics industry. After earning my Bachelor of Science in Supply Chain Management and Logistics from Middle Tennessee State University I first jumped into the world of transportation and logistics - my passion. I first started as a truck driver for a couple of years working for local company as owner operator, that's where I experienced the first challenges and nuances of this job and this shipping industry. Those early days taught me knowledge that I share to this day in blogs and using those skills in my personal life.
From there, I moved into a job working as Dispatch operator at Miles Logistics (a local Tennessee logistics company), I managed a lot of shipments, worked closely with tens and hundreds of owner operators, and started using advanced car shipping software like Super Dispatch, Dialpad, OpenPhone, Truckstop, Central Dispatch, DAT TruckersEdge, Montway, Accertus Loadboard, FMCSA Safer. Over time, I transitioned to brokering at Montway Logistics and used ship.cars loadboard, where I developed more skills and became a more experienced car shipping expert.
In 2024, I joined a team of CarShiply as Senior Content Specialist. Today, I focus on delivering the most factual correct blogs and content strategy, writing lots of my personal experience being in this industry, and provide most up to date information and informed decisions about car shipping tips and tricks, auto transportation news and new facts about the industry, long reeds about car shipping industry and many more content.
With over 12 years of experience in car shipping industry, I helped ship thousands and hundreds of cars across the U.S. and Canada. From shipping inoperable vehicles to heavy-load trucks, dealing with all types of situations, dealing with papers, different clients and different types of loads, distances, etc I’ve handled it all.
I own a CDL license and a freight broker license, along with various logistics certifications. Over the years, I’ve specialized in open trailer car shipping, enclosed shipping, cross-country transport, heavy weight shipping, open trailer transportation, boat shipping, semi-truck shipping, RV car shipping, and fleet management. My expertise has been recognized in forums, on Reddit, and at industry events like the 2024 Truckload Carriers Association Annual Convention in Nashville.

I helped ship oversized vehicles, like heavy-duty trucks and SUVs that took some extra planning a lot of time in my career.
Sometimes you need to move an inoperable car, and I helped to ship a lot of them in my career, it's an easy way of transportation, but some cars are after car accidents, so you need soem extra care and forklifting of them.
I worked closely with auto auctions and dealerships, and helped manage car transportation for their clients, making it smooth and having the same clients for years.
